Get romantic with Safe Haven: win tickets to the Toronto advance screening + a $12,000 diamond engagement ring!

By Stephanie Fusco

Full disclosure: Valentine’s Day is one of my favourite holidays. I know it’s not a real holiday, but I’m not letting you take away a day dedicated to pink, sparkles, shiny things, hearts and kisses.

Another one of my guilty pleasures: Nicholas Sparks books. The cheesier and more romantic, the better. Over the Christmas break, I devoured Safe Haven in a single sitting. From beginning to end, this novel will draw you in and keep you guessing.

“When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller.” – Alliance Films

Since I loved the book so much, I’m pretty excited to drag my not-so-willing significant other to see it. The movie looks like it’s going to be even more suspenseful than the book – and seems like it might even have a few plot twists fans of the book aren’t expecting. BONUS: Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough make a pretty hot couple.

Thanks to Alliance Atlantis, I’m able to offer 5 of my readers the chance to check out Safe Haven’s Toronto premiere this coming Monday, January 21 at 7PM at Scotiabank Theatre with a friend. And….Josh and Julianne will be in attendance! Amazing, right?
