It’s the week of my favourite holiday, the International Day of All Things Pink + Sparkly (Valentine’s Day!), and guys & gals alike are flocking to lingerie shops in search of a little somethin’ somethin’ to spice up the night. Digging through racks of lace can be oh so taxing, so I’m going to simplify things for you. Meet my favourite secret jewel of a lingerie shop: Linea Intima.
Housed in my favourite Toronto mall, Bayview Village, Linea Intima is a rare jewel of a lingerie shop in that it carries a wide range of sizes (AA – GG+) at a variety of price points. From nighties and lacy underthings to Spanx and Lelo sex toys (yes, sex toys!) Linea Intima has it all. It’s the brainchild of bra-fitting expert Liliana Mann, a friendly, warm businesswoman with a love for lingerie and more than 25 years in the business. Liliana really is the best in the biz – she’s fit me many times before and I’ve never been sent home with a bra that wasn’t perfect. Too often, the average bra-buying experience is a pushy one – I can’t count the number of times I was “fitted” for a bra that ended up being 5 sizes too large in the band + 4 too small in the cup. At Linea Intima, the staff fit you properly and in a relaxed fashion – a fitting can take anywhere from 10 – 30 minutes and you’re guaranteed a bra that will boost your confidence (clothes on or off 
. While the prices of specialty bras do range a higher than what you’d find at a La Senza or Victoria’s Secret, you really do get what you pay for – the first Freya bra I purchased in high school is still in my wardrobe today!
Along with bras and matching panties, Linea Intima also has a wide range of sleepwear, Hanky Panky and Commando panties and Spanx. You may also recall I mentioned things that go buzz in the night. One of the big surprises for me at the opening of Bayview Village’s new and improved Linea Intima store was the addition of Lelo sex toys. Lelo toys are a luxury item – they look beautiful and I’m told they perform beautifully too.
Yes, those are the Luna Beads of 50 Shade of Grey fame. I didn’t get the reference, but a friend who’s read the series told me they’re featured quite expressively in the books.

@KatieMetcalfe Agreed! I feel comfortable in certain brands and styles now, but always ask for a professional fitting when I'm trying something new!
I'll be on my own for Valentine's because hubby has a sleep test that night...yeah...really.
