TGIF! It’s been a wild week between dress shopping (more on that later!) and just overall craziness at work. I’m excited to finally sit down and see some friends (and the fiance) this weekend since I feel I haven’t had a second to breathe since I got into work Tuesday morning. This week’s list is full of fun spring items that you’ll want to get your paws on immediately.
Garance Doré for Rifle Paper Co.
When I found out Garance Doré was doing a collection with Rifle Paper Co. I knew I’d want to get my paws on it immediately. Since the collection is filled with leopard (!!!) and gold foil accents, it’s really no surprise. I picked up the iPhone 5/5s hard case from Indigo for about $35 (it’s not available online) but I’ve also got my eye on the Leopard Weekly Desk Pad ($14), Leopard Notebook Set ($16.95 for two) and the Merci Hearts Boxed Notes ($19.95 for 8). I’m sorry for all the links…I know they’ll be as dangerous for you as they were for me.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil
Even though I’ve been more consistent with my skincare, I’m still having a lot of trouble with blemishes for whatever unknown reason. I picked up an old favourite – The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil ($10) – to whip my skin into shape once and for all. I haven’t had to turn to it since high school, but I’m really glad I picked it up – my skin improved drastically overnight with its help. It shrinks blemishes and helps to clear them rapidly, better than any type of acne cream I’ve ever tried. It’s a steal at $10 – pick it up for emergencies.
Sophia Webster for J. Crew shoe collection
Like so many people, I’ve been waiting to see the Sophia Webster for J. Crew collection up close and personal for so long now. It did not disappoint – pairing Sophia Webster’s fun, quirky style with J. Crew’s prints was a home run. They range in price from $320 – $695, so they’re a bit of an investment, but I think you’ll find you covet them as much as I have been. A few of my favourites (top to bottom) Riko Pumps ($695), Anneka Pumps ($520), and Lola Kitten Heel ($320). Pick them up at www.jcrew.com
Pink Tartan Tux Shirt Dress
The highlight of my week: I went wedding dress shopping yesterday! Wahoo! More on that to come next week. I knew I wanted t dress up for the occasion and when I spotted this dress at Pink Tartan a month or so ago I knew it would be the the perfect dress for spring ($395) but also the perfect dress to shop for wedding dresses in! The buttons and sleeveless style make it perfect for easy on-off and keeping cool (those dresses are heavy!) before and after the appointment. The pique cotton has a chiffon tuxedo pleated overlay which is adorably chic and also has a pleated skirt. It’s incredibly flattering (like all Pink Tartan dresses) and is perfect for work, play, weekend…pretty much all the time.
I’m sharing these with you for the simple reason that I have been eating them by the bagful for the last week. These delicious coconut chips ($5 – 7) will change your life in their salty/sweet/crunch ways. They’re also not terrible for you. No further comment.[line]
Have a great weekend!
