It’s back! My favourite little corner of Bloor Street has transformed into an outdoor farmer’s market yet again with the return of Club Monaco’s CM Market. You might remember I obsessed over the little market last summer, as I spent way too many days grabbing bunches of blooms, cold coffees and fruity ice pops from the local vendors.
This year’s market features new and returning vendors and the setting is even more beautiful, if that’s possible. Strings of lights, bunches of greenery and local vendors flooded the space at the market’s opening party. Located at the corner of Bloor and Avenue in downtown Toronto, the outdoor market sits just outside of Club Monaco’s flagship lifestyle location in the city. It’s the perfect place to grab a little bite to eat, a delicious juice or popsicle or just leave with a bundle of flowers after a good shop.
The Pop Stand will serve up gourmet, all-natural ice pops – we were lucky enough to enjoy ours dunked in cocktails. While I had their Strawberry Basil pop in a shot of bourbon (a Strawberry Basil Bourbon Smash!), I had a little lick of Lauren’s Lemon Rosemary pop and whoa.
I was also thrilled to see Bake Shoppe return. I swapped my beloved ruffles square for a toasted-to-order s’mores bar (home made bourbon marshmallow!) and regret nothing. Well, except that I didn’t grab one of the pop tarts as well.
We also got to pick out custom blooms from Sweet Woodruff, one of my favourite floral shops in the city. They’ve been partnering with Club Monaco on the regular and I love that I can get my floral fix whenever I go in to shop.
While the market is lovely, you couldn’t keep me from enjoying a private shopping experience if you tried. Especially because the merchandising at CM is always top-notch. We’re heading to Boston & Cape Cod for our 1-year wedding anniversary and so many of the gorgeous summer pieces were speaking to me. I picked up this sheer, striped shirt that doubles as the perfect beach cover-up and a gauzy, casual topper for walks in town. I’ve also got my eye on these adorable gingham marysia swim bottoms – hello, scallops – and that cute beach bag. Basically everything (shocker).
