In just one month, Kleinfeld Canada will open its doors at Hudson’s Bay on Queen St. in Toronto. A month after that, I have my appointment…hopefully to say yes to the dress! I’m getting pretty excited to wiggle my way into some frothy white gorgeousness and have been giving some serious thought to my must-haves.
Need: straps or an illusion neckline of some kind (to reign in the bust), a fitted waist (to show off the smallest part of my body) and some sort of sparkle or embellishment.
Want: tulle or lace, girly & romantic details
Here are 5 dresses that have elements of what I’m looking for.
Be sure to let me know your favourite below!
Lazaro Dropped Waist Tulle Gown
The nipped waist, the full, textured skirt, the extreme sparkle – I love this dress. The coverage might be a bit too much for me, but this dress embodies all the things I hope to have in my final pick.
Hailey Paige Dori Ball Gown
The super-textural skirt coupled with the glittering bodice is what first caught my eye when I spotted this dress on Instagram. The open back adds a bit of sexiness to an otherwise covered-up style. Bonus: no jewelry required!
Oscar De La Renta Brandon A-Line Gown
I love that this dress is strapless without being exposed. The lace appliques add coverage to the strapless style and the dress skims over the bride’s figure without being too tight or too puffy. It’s flattering yet fitted. Also – it’s Oscar.
Paloma Blanca Lace Bodice A-Line
This dress is classically romantic and includes lace without the fussiness. The floral belt is removable which is ideal, since that’s where I’d want to add a bit of sparkle. The fitted bodice with v-neck straps is exactly what I need to keep the girls in check and show off my shape.
Anne Barge V-Neck Lace Gown
Can you tell I’m into lace? I love how classic this gown is.
I’ll be starting my dress shopping with Luxe Shopping Experiences at the end of April when we’ll be visiting Ines Di Santo, Sarah Houston Couture and White bridal salons in the Yorkville area. More on that to come! Those visits are sure to be the perfect prelude to my Kleinfeld visit – by that time, I hope to know exactly what I want and hope to come out of the visit knowing which dresses I’ll need to revisit before my final decision.
Which dress is your favourite? Are there any you’ve been eyeing you absolutely think I need to try on?
