Your Comprehensive Guide to 90’s pop reunions

My musical choices consist of country, Top 40 and 90’s pop nearly exclusively, so you can imagine that I’m thrilled by the recent spate of 90’s bands reuniting and/or continuing to perform. Get your Ticketmaster clicking fingers ready and dust off your CDs – it’s time.

They never really broke up, but did you ever think you’d get to MMMbop in public again? Your secret teenage dreams have been answered because Hanson will be performing at the CNE Bandshell during the 2014 Canadian National Exhibition. Free with the price of admission. I hope the boys throw the audience a bone and since some of their classics during the 2 hour set.

O Town

This reunion is bittersweet since it lacks my original love, Ashley Parker Angel, but I’m no less excited for the December concert. They have new songs, but videos from other concerts reveal they’ll be singing some of our fave tunes. The only thing that could make this better? Meeting the guys and getting them to sign the framed record Mike got me for our anniversary this year. Make it happen, pretty pretty please!! Buy your tickets here and let me know if you’re coming!

Nick & Knight

Did you love the NKOTBSB tour as much as I did? Did you like it enough to see your two favourite teen heartthrobs (Nick Carter & Jordan Knight, natch) in concert…TOGETHER? If you’ve been living under the sort of rock where you don’t get boyband news on the regular (if this is you, why are you here?), maybe you haven’t yet heard of the new duo of Nick & Knight. Yes, this is real life. And they’re coming to Toronto! Buy your tickets here. Their new album drops September 2, giving you just enough time to learn all the words if you’d rather sing along than shriek.

Date: October 4, 2014
Time: Doors at 7:00 PM
Location: Sound Academy

S Club 7

Get ready to make all of the bringing it all back puns you’ve been holding on to. Rumours are S Club 7 are reuniting! No official announcement just yet but they’ve purportedly all signed contracts. Stay tuned…

The only thing that complete my happiness right now would be if that Spice Girls reunion tour happened again…or if the Justin Timberlake deigned to tour with NSYNC…and the Backstreet Boys…and 98 Degrees. A girl can dream, right?

Which concert(s) will you be checking out?
