Simplify your makeup routine with Benefit’s World Famous Neutrals [Review]

If one of your new year’s resolutions was to simplify your makeup routine, Benefit’s got you covered. With the introduction of the World Famous Neutrals palettes, Benefit has cornered the market on simple, beautiful makeup looks that transition easily from day to night.

I was gifted with these palettes by the Benefit Cosmetics Canada team at Christmas (hand-delivered, since I’m lucky enough to work in the same building as them!) and have been playing with them and wearing them obsessively ever since. Each adorably-packaged set contains 2 of Benefit’s award-winning creaseless cream shadows and 4 new longwear powder shadows. The best part? The shades are all universally-flattering, expertly coordinated and come with easy-to-follow looks for daytime & playtime.

Benefit World Famous Neutrals: Easiest Nudes Ever

I find myself wearing the shades from this palette most often. Easy and versatile as these nude shades are, they really pack a punch in the best way. This set contains two of my favourite creaseless cream shadows: R.S.V.P. (sparkling champagne) and No Pressure! (a rich fawn). Combined with longwear powder shadows in Call My Buff; Quick, Look Busy; Thanks A Latte; and Pinky Swear, it’s easy to create a rich look. If you’re only going to buy one of these palettes for everyday use, get this one. Buy it at Sephora for about $30.

Benefit World Famous Neutrals: Sexiest Nudes Ever

If you’re looking for a bit more smoulder in your life, Sexiest Nudes Ever is the way to go. Including two standout shades: Raincheck? (smoky amethyst) and Blingo! (a ridiculously awesome brilliant silver), Benefit’s Sexiest Nudes Ever will sex up your look in minutes.

I especially love this palette for ladies with brown or hazel eyes, although it will look awesome with any eye colour. I can’t wait to use Blingo! for super-shiny big night out looks – it’s so stunning. Buy it at Sephora for about $30.

Benefit World Famous Neutrals: Most Glamorous Nudes Ever

Glamorous really is the perfect word to describe this set. When you see ladies with gorgeous copper-rimmed eyes on the red carpet, looking rich, opulent and dramatic – that’s the look you’re going to get with this palette. It’s very rich-girl chic: expensive-looking, but without trying too hard.

The standout shades in this set for me are It’s Complicated, a beautiful peachy, rose gold, and Birthday Suit, a brushed chrome that’s the perfect base for pretty much every look. I have it in full-size, too. Buy it at Sephora for about $30.

L-R: My Two Cents, Birthday Suit, Call My Buff, It’s Complicated, Gilt-y Pleasure, Kiss Me, I’m Tipsy
