Best of 2014: Skincare

The piles of product received as a blogger can be pretty daunting. Sometimes it feels like there’s no way you’ll get through it all and, truth be told, there are often some lemons in the mix. Skincare is one of those categories that really puts the fear of God into you. You’ll know what I mean once you get an allergic reaction from an eye cream at midnight. But I digress…

Best of 2014 - skincare

These 5 items are not only worth the money (and then some) but they’re a part of my personal arsenal for amazing skin. These products broke free from the pack and are on my most-replaced/coveted/obsessed list for 2014. Pick them up for yourself for a brighter 2015!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum

This was my most-repurchased product of 2014, without question. This silky serum sinks right into your skin and keeps it gorgeously hydrated and soft thanks to the Vichy thermal water and Hyaluronic Acid. My severely dehydrated skin has made a complete recovery and now stays moisturized and plump no matter the season or weather. Make this your resolution for 2015!

Lovefresh pear scrub

The scent of this scrub transports me to my happy place with the tiniest whiff. It scrubs away dead skin and moisturizes all in one go – just add water. This is by far one of the best scrubs I’ve ever tried, made only the better by combination of super scrub, amazing scent and the resulting silkiest skin ever. If pear isn’t your thing, I’ll be just slightly offended…but you can give one of the other scents a try instead.

BKR water bottle Murale

bkr water bottle

I ended last 2013 with my first BKR and have picked up a few more along the way in 2014. The prettiest water bottle you ever did see, this glass home for your #1 skin secret (water!) is BPA-free and will entice you to sip all day long. If you want great skin, you’ll have to drink for it.

Dermalogica toner hydramist

Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist

Scoff at toners if you must, but this one has become a ritual in and of itself for me. Spritz this refreshing mist after cleansing to make your serums & moisturiser sink in like a dream then spritz it again throughout the day whenever you need a boost. My skin has never felt fresher or more invigorated.

Best Depuffing Eye products

Sephora Collection Instant Depuffing Eye Mask

As many creams as I slather on, nothing depuffs my perpetually puffy eyes like this mega-cooling mask from Sephora. Whether a late night, teary movie or allergies have me swollen, this gel-feel mask is a mess-free saviour come morning. Keep these stockpiled in your beauty closet to have a brighter, less puffy 2015.
