1023

I’m going to throw this out there and hope you don’t judge me – I’m a lazy overachiever.
What does that even mean? Well, I’m that girl who sleeps with her makeup on to avoid washing her face (but enjoys the perfect smoky eye the next AM). That girl who does two Whitestrips in a row because she can’t commit to a two-week stint. That girl who layers on a bunch of serums once very couple of weeks because she can’t remember to do it daily.
That’s why I’m all about products …

Oprah Lifeclass Toronto - View of Oprah

Let me preface this by saying I’m not a rabid Oprah fan.
That said, when my mom first got lucky in the NYC ticket lottery, I was completely onboard to visit NYC and see Oprah’s Lifeclass (for free!) at Radio City  Music Hall. Unfortunately, she ended up fracturing her foot and we were unable to make the trip to NYC for the weekend. Luckily, or so we thought, tickets had just gone onsale for Oprah’s Lifeclass in Toronto! Although the Emerald and Executive tickets had sold out (~$300-$500), we were happy …

They say blondes have more fun…but brunettes are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
This weekend, I had the pleasure of brunching with some of Toronto’s best and brightest lady-bloggers. Organized by  Valerie Stachurski of I’m Charming You along with Nicki from View The Vibe, we braved the rain to check out La Societe.

After salivating over the menu, we all decided on variations of the same thing – Eggs Benedict (some with salmon, some with lobster, some Florentine). Perfectly poached eggs, buttery Hollandaise, garlicky spinach and spongey brioche with a …

Last night was my first time at Luma in Toronto (located in the Bell/TIFF Lightbox).
Yes, I know everyone else has already been. Yes, everyone else has already told me how awesome it is. However, I wasn’t expecting it to be quite *this* awesome. When Danielle and I planned our dinner date, this was the first place she suggested and I eagerly agreed.
Let me preface this review by saying I’m an extremely picky eater. If it looks weird (to me), has something I can’t identify in it or is gamey/fishy, I …

ILYB 3 - Elena Juatco, Jeff Madden - Photo by Vincent Perri

Have I mentioned that I absolutely love musical theatre? I really do.
Need proof? This is me as Elphaba (in Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty) singing Defying Gravity in my apartment in my second year at Queen’s. My blonde housemate, Kathleen, made the perfect Galinda.

So, you can imagine how psyched I was when Angelwalk Theatre invited me to preview their new show, the Canadian premiere of I Love You Because. Billed as a modern-day Pride and Prejudice and set in NYC, ILYB is a feel-good romantic comedy that makes for the perfect …

03957 Stacked

I’m a frequent victim of photobombs. No, it’s not an annoying friend or an adorable animal that’s popping into my photos – it’s my hair elastics. Thanks to hair that likes to explode elastics or frizz unexpectedly, they’re a fixture on my wrists (and in my car, on my desk…you get the idea). All too frequently, I’ll even head out to a formal event with one on my arm. Luckily, my mom’s eagle eyes generally spot them before I head out the door.
Enter: Goody Double Wear hair elastics. These little gems …

Sometimes, a little glitz & glam is all a girl needs.
Two of the most iconic silver screen starlets are making their mark in Toronto, with the Grace Kelly: from Movie Star to Princess exhibition currently at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and My Week with Marilyn starting advanced screenings this week (read to the end for your chance to win a pair of tickets!).
I had the chance to check out the Grace Kelly exhibit this past weekend with a few ladies from HumberPR. After the most delicious brunch at OB Canteen (did …

The limited-edition Airplus Spa Value Pack, $12.99

As the weather gets colder, it’s inevitable that your skin will get increasingly scaly and rough. Along with swapping your facial moisturizer for something more emollient and switching your summer shimmer for shea butter, you should also think about your feet. With cozy tights and patterned socks likely keeping your toes covered all winter long, it’s easy to forget that your feet need extra TLC in the winter months – especially after party-hopping in your highest heels!
My favourite way to treat myself (and keep my boyfriend from recoiling at the …
