When we got engaged back in October, June 6 2015 felt lightyears away. As you’re reading this, we’re 415 days away from the big day…and only 8 days away from my first wedding dress shopping experience! As I’ve shared before, I’ll be test-driving Luxe Shopping Experiences next Thursday as my mom and I take on Yorkville with our host Jamie-Lee Braunack & stylist Shona from Shop with Shona. They’ve got quite the day planned for us.

A car will pick my mom and I up from our house in the morning and we’ll start our day with tea at MoRoCo Chocolat. From there, we’ll head to Ines Di Santo,
Sarah Houston (now closed) and White for a few hours of intense dress shopping. I’ll be rewarded with a delicious lunch at a Yorkville hotspot and then will receive hair & makeup as well as bridal gift recommendations. Yes, I’m really excited. I can’t wait to share my day with you – follow along using #stephsaysyes. I can’t promise a photo of me *in* something white & fluffy but I”m sure lots of loveliness will be shared!
Speaking of dresses… Bridal Market just happened this past week, so make sure to check out #bridalmarket on Instagram to see hundreds of S/S15 dresses. While Ines Di Santo and Sarah Houston are standalone design boutiques, White carries a wide variety of designers. I could try on anything from an Oscar de la Renta or Marchesa (!!!) to Jenny Packham there. They also carry Reem Acra, a favourite of mine (and Taylor Swift’s).

In preparation for the big day, I’ve been ramping up my clean eating and exercise routine. A little crazy? Perhaps, but since I’m planning to trim down in time for the wedding it only makes sense for it to be more of a lifestyle change than a one-off. Follow along on Instagram by searching the #bridebod tag. So far I’ve been trying to get my cardio in a few times a week with the help of our home gym and The Good Wife on Netflix. OK, and my new Frozen Blu-Ray. Since I have a bunch of messed up discs in my back, slow & steady will definitely win the race here. A little progress shot of a sweaty Steph:
Wedding progress report:
Booked! We got along really well with 5ive15ifteen lead photographer & owner Michael Caringi and I’m so glad we were able to book him for our wedding. We’ve already had some great chats about potential engagement shoot themes and I wish we weren’t waiting until the fall to do them!
Booked! After seeing them at Bier Markt last week, we’ve finally sealed the deal with Soular.
Undecided. I’ve already picked so many vendors so we won’t be booking a full-event planner anymore. We will need someone day-of so this is a TBD.
Dress & Shoes
In progress 🙂
100% chosen! While I asked my bridesmaids during a bridesmaid ask brunch about a month ago, Mike took a bit of extra time asking his guys one by one. He’s finally picked them all and I’m thrilled with his choices. Neither of us has officially chosen our best man or maid of honour from the wedding party yet, though.[line]
