#WeddingWednesday is back! It’s been a little while since my last wedding-related post and I’m so pumped to be back in the proverbial saddle with less than 5 months to go. I have a lot of exciting things planned for the next little while, including a wedding countdown series that’ll get me (and you!) in tip-top shape for the big day. Stay tuned for that. For now, I can’t wait to share the best inspirational photos from last weekend’s WedLuxe Wedding Show at Arcadian Court. Get your Pinning finger ready!
After spending the morning at Bobbette & Belle picking out sweets for my bridal shower (!!!) I headed to the show with both of my parents. I received complimentary tickets as media for my mom & I, but let’s just say my dad spent the day dropping none-too-subtle hints so I ended up buying him a ticket last minute. How cute is this little family pic from the floral photo booth? I used WedLuxe as an amazing excuse to bust out my ostrich feather-trimmed Pink Tartan tee that I purchased for NYE – isn’t it fun?
Florals & Tablescapes
[line]I was looking for floral inspiration at WedLuxe and I more than found it – and in my colour scheme to boot! I fell madly in love with the displays from The Social Rose and Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design.
If I had to take a guess at this year’s floral trends, I’d say we’re going to see a lot of lush, extravagant florals in 2015. From gorgeously full runners to high-low arrangements in a variety of sizes, florals are still a big deal and will be high-impact. I’m so excited to see what my florist pulls together!

[line]I’m so excited to create our perfect wedding cake with Bobbette & Belle in a few weeks and WedLuxe definitely got me primed for that! The floral trend doesn’t stop at decor – the wedding cakes showcased at WedLuxe were brimming with flora & fauna.
Can you believe that Bobbette & Belle cake designed to complement the Oscar de la Renta dress? Major swooning happened.
Everything else!
The beautiful The Pearl Moon Lounge branding was created by PALETTERA Custom Correspondences and holy hell was it beautiful. The brains behind the branding shop have also been churning out beautiful and lower-priced invitations from Ferris Wheel Press – make sure to take a peek if you’re looking for invitations and day-of stationery!
O + B provided delicious tiny bites of crepes and waffles – yum! – while Sloane Teas hosted a tasting bar.
I was so excited to finally introduce my parents to my amazing photographer, Mike Caringi of 5ive15ifteen photo company – they absolutely loved him and are so excited for the big day. We also got to say hello to one of my favourite ladies, Melissa Andre of Melissa Andre Events. She was one of the first potential vendors I sat down with after getting engaged and is so lovely. We won’t be working together but we’ve stayed in touch – make sure to follow her on Instagram for amazing wedding inspiration.
