Internet Awesome Coffee Break

It’s Friday!

I’m pretty pumped that this week is over, since I’m heading on vacation tomorrow! It’s been a year since my last trip someplace hot, so I’m mega excited.

To help the day go by faster, here are some of my favourite things from the internet this week.

Tori Kelly’s Suit & Tie Acoustic Cover

I’ve been streaming the new Justin Timberlake album, The 20/20 Experience, on iTunes all week and am really enjoying it so far. I won’t lie – when I first heard Suit & Tie at the Grammy’s I wasn’t incredibly impressed, but I’m about ready to change my tune. Suit & Tie has finally started to grow on me, but this acoustic cover by Tori Kelly has made me love it even more.

Quit The Denial’s Social Farter

In my gig as a community manager here at BDDO Proximity, I get to work on some pretty cool stuff. This campaign we launched this week on behalf of Ministry of Health is one of those things (I wrote the FB copy – hooray!). Using memes and analogies of socially unacceptable behaviour, the Quit the Denial campaign tackles one of my age group’s largest issues – “social smoking”. Far too many of us light up on the weekends or “just with friends” without ever realizing that we might in fact be smokers. It’s just social, after all.

Pepsi MAX’s Jeff Gordon “Test Drive” Prank

There’s nothing like a good prank to get your adrenaline pumping. I spotted this video from Pepsi MAX + Jeff Gordon on my feed this week and pretty much sat there agape the whole time. I couldn’t decide if I’d want to be in that car or not – I probably would have had a heart attack. [Pepsi is a client of mine, but this video is out of the US + I heard about it for the first time on FB]

What are the best things you’ve seen online this week?
