lust list: rollerball fragrances

It began as the love child of indecision and frugality. I’d received a sample of Love, Chloe and was on the fence about it, an issue that left me perusing the fragrance walls at Sephora. I was into the fragrance, but I wasn’t so sure how it felt about me yet and it was a bit expensive for something I wasn’t sure about. That’s when it dawned on me: the rollerball its sister fragrance, Chloe, was about half the price! As I skipped towards the register, I knew we’d be happy together.

As you can see, Chloe (EDP) has become my go-to. Surprisingly, I’ve found myself reaching for it instead of my go-to signature scent, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. There can only be one reason for this madness: I’m obsessed with the rollerball (OK, the scent is pretty awesome, too).

Rollerball fragrances seem to have exploded in popularity over the past few months, with more and more brands offering rollerball versions of their scents. Convenient and cost-effective, you can’t go wrong with a fragrance that you can roll on in the morning and toss in your purse for a post-work scent boost. Yes – you might miss misting on a cloud of fragrance and tossing your hair (no?…just me?), but you can’t beat a direct shot of your favourite scent directly on your pulse points.

I’m going to be snapping up rollerball versions of my favourite fragrances whenever and wherever I can find them. Will you? Let me know in the comments!
