Happy Simcoe Day, fellow Ontarians! For those who aren’t lucky enough to have today off, fret not. This week’s polish pick will make your heart sing – I promise.
I picked this polish up on Friday night during a Shops at Don Mills date with fellow PR gal Stella Lee to check out the new P.F. Chang’s. We couldn’t resist the siren call of Murale and, obviously, I couldn’t resist leaving with yet another polish. This polish is so beautiful that I went home and immediately removed the colour I’d painstakingly chosen earlier that afternoon for my friends’ wedding the next day.
Deborah Lippmann’s Sweet Dreams (~$22 CDN) is a pink jelly base packed with golden flakies. I got full coverage in two coats, although I was fully expecting to layer on three. It was the perfect consistency – not too gluey or thin – and the flakies dispersed evenly. It has a beautiful holographic look and is even more beautiful when it glitters in the sun.
I can already tell this shade will be in constant rotation – it’s subtle enough for work (although, let’s face it, anything goes in an ad agency), but also fun enough for a dressy occasion. In case you’re wondering, it also looks stunning when paired with Jimmy Choos. 😉
If you’re looking for a perfect pink that will outshine any other shade in your polish arsenal, look no further. Although Deborah Lippmann polishes are on the higher end for price, I can guarantee you won’t regret the purchase. You may even find yourself staring at your hands all day – don’t say I didn’t warn you!
