Alright, my bad, it’s Hump Day instead of Monday. To help you get over the hump, check out this week’s manicure: Deborah Lippmann’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun!
On Monday, I treated myself to an afternoon of girly fun – a manicure at Donato Salon + Spa and some shopping at Anthropologie at Shops at Don Mills (one of my favourite haunts). So, of course, when faced with four rows of Deborah Lippmann polish at Donato, I chose the one that most fit my mood – a trendy, summery coral with a fun name.
My expert manicurist, Maria, applied the polish perfectly, achieving opacity in two coats. The hue is neither too orange nor too pink – it’s perfectly in the middle and is trendy without being loud. Like all Deborah Lippman polishes, this one is 3-free and retails around $23.
In unprecedented fashion, I used the same colour on my hands and feet. Cute, huh?
The problem with Shops at Don Mills is that I absolutely cannot resist the allure of Murale, a Sephora-esque offshoot of Shoppers Drug Mart. Yes, you can get Optimum points for buying high-end beauty products. Better yet, they have a Fab + Free promotion going on until June 10 that gets you an awesome gift with purchase when you spend over $100!
The full list of products can be found here, but I was most excited about the purse-size Oscar Blandi Pronto dry shampoo, full-size Deborah Lippmann polish, mini Bourjois polish, and the three trial-size mascaras (two from Cargo, one from Smashbox). Oh, did I mention they come in an adorable large purple makeup tote with a polka dot lining? So fun!
What’s on your nails this week? Will you be heading to Murale for this fabulous bonus?
