It’s not often that a celebrity makeup collaboration results in entirely new, can’t-live-without-them formulations, but I dare say that NARS has accomplished just that with their Charlotte Gainsbourg collaboration. Housed in matte, rubberized khaki packaging with gold foiled lettering, NARS Hydrating Glow Tint and NARS Multiple Tint do a delicate, dewy dance that results in day-at-the-spa skin.
A light, whipped mousse texture lends itself to breezy, ideal summer application with your fingertips. Melting into the skin to impart a glow – not an oil slick – to freshly moisturized skin, the NARS Hydrating Glow Tint is the ultimate essence of what summer skin should be. It gives you the type of glow that begs the question of what you’ve done with your skin when you meet a friend under fluorescent subway lighting. It only comes in three shades – I’m ‘Light’ – but it’s so lightweight that these should blend seamlessly into most skin tones.
NARS Multiples have been a longtime staple in my makeup collection – so much so that I had to force myself to throw out the glimmering stick of Copacabana I purchased for my senior prom (yes, in 2006) and my go-to blush shade of Maui after years of being unable to finish an entire tube.
This brand new formulation of the NARS Multiple Tint is the kind of effortless blush that’s reminiscent of getting caught staring at your crush: a dewy, natural, girlish flush. I love it as much on the lips as I do on the cheeks, where it just lightly stains to add a hint of colour. Again, this is available in three shades – Alice, a poppy red (what I’m wearing!), Jo (light pink) and Jeanette (sheer berry). I’ll have to resist buying them all… maybe.
Swatches of NARS Hydrating Glow Tint in Light and NARS The Multiple Tint in Alice
You heard it here first: my summer face is moisturizer + SPF paired with NARS Hydrating Glow Tint, my holy grail Radiant Creamy Concealer, a Multiple Tint flush and filled-in brows. In fact, I love it so much that I filmed a quick video of this look!
Most skin types can probably benefit from this product, but I can vouch for how well it performs on my dry skin. If you do pick these up for yourself, please remember to moisturize before using! I like to layer the Hydrating Glow Tint over my usual HydrExtreme serum and, when I’m hankering for a little extra coverage, I love how it looks over my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation.
