If you’ve got a sweet tooth (like me!), you’ll probably want to block off your Sunday afternoon ASAP.
This Sunday, June 26 the first Toronto Bakers Market is happening in Leslieville!
I’m loving this market culture in the city. I love the idea of heading to a downtown location and being immersed – especially when the offering on hand is dessert, flowers, etc. I love that you get to interact with the vendors in such an intimate setting and find some new favourites in the city.
Lest you think you’ll only find delicious macarons, donuts and other sweet treats, let me set the record straight: you’ll also be able to find savory goodies like fresh baked bread. Even better: they’re selling vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free (you name it!) options as well.
I’ve been spending a bit of time on their Instagram (can you blame me?) and have my eye on these lavender fleur-de-sel caramels…
My, er…quick…peruse also turned up pics of brigadeiros, cannoli and truffles. I already have a lady date planned with a fellow PR gal down in Leslieville so you can bet I’m going to encourage her to meander over with me!
See you there!
