#ManicureMonday: Stone Cold, China Glaze

Happy Monday, friends! The weather’s getting cooler, so I decided to welcome fall by painting my nails a dark hue for the first time since last winter! This shade is from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection that came out last year. It sold out right away at all of the stores near me and I’m not at all surprised – it’s an asphalt shade that goes on matte but looks beautiful glossed up with some topcoat.

Can you spot the matte nail? I think the next time I wear this I’ll do an entirely matte mani – it’s beautiful. I love the depth the topcoat provides, though – the sparkles really come alive.

This is two coats of polish. When you apply this, remember that mattes dry quickly so apply in thin coats and work as fast as you can! This is a great fall shade as it will match with any outfit and is also so versatile thanks to the matte finish. It’s not quite as harsh as a black polish, which makes it very wearable (even for someone as pale as me!).
