Win your #SummerEscapes

This weekend, I read three books in two days. Feels like summer to me! Once summer arrives, there’s nothing quite like relaxing outdoors (ideally by a pool) in the sunshine with a great book. Even if you’re facing a long drive, like I was this weekend, there’s something about a few good books coming along for the ride that makes it so much better. Before I set off to Niagara on a shopping adventure, I stacked my Kobo with some books I’d been meaning to read and burned through them all before the weekend was over. #winning

My friends at HarperCollins Canada happen to think books are the perfect #summerescapes as well (go figure). This summer, they’re encouraging book lovers everywhere to take a little time for themselves and indulge in a little escape – you know, vacation, relaxation, shopping, reading…or all of the above! That’s a mission I can get behind.

To facilitate your very own #summerescapes, they’re featuring five summer reads on their website that I can’t wait to get my hands on:

  • Hidden by Catherine McKenzie
  • J’adore Paris by Isabelle Lafleche
  • My Life in Black and White by Kim Izzo
  • Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich (HarperUS)
  • About a Girl by Lindsey Kelk (HarperUK). (remember that time I met Lindsey Kelk?! What a sweetheart.)

When you visit summerescapes.ca, you can read all about the books, check out exclusive content from the authors or download a free e-book sampler, featuring excerpts from all five titles (a bit of a tease, if you ask me ;)).

I’ve teamed up with HarperCollins Canada to offer you the chance to win all five of these summer titles!

I am actually quite eager to read “My Life in Black and White” Purely because of the novel’s setting. I just love the 1950’s, such an enchanting time. So, you could say that where the story takes place is what draws me in, but I have to admit, I’m a sucker for appealing book covers, and this one sure was a real keeper! But don’t get me wrong. I’d be happy with ANY of these books, just so long as I”m reading 😉
Thank you for listening to my rant. Good day.

I’m having problems with livefyre so don’t know if my answer went through either. (Just as well because, in my exasperation, I’d answered the wrong question.)  Of these books, I’m really looking forward to reading Hidden, by Catherine McKenzie.
