I’m a sucker for a sale, but I especially love when my favourite shops do deep discounts and I’m able to stock up on my must-haves. The Body Shop is currently having 40% off so there’s no time like the present to give some of my go-tos a try. Here’s what I’ll be stocking up on.
Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask
This is the mask I recommend most often and without any reservation. You can see the spots of oil coming out of your pores as it dries and it’s fantastic for deep-cleaning your skin – especially during a breakout. This can be a bit much for super-sensitive skin, but listen to your face and don’t leave it on for too long if it’s getting irritated.
The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask is on sale for $13.20 (regularly $22)
Tea Tree Oil
As I mentioned in last week’s enabler report, this tea tree oil is a cost-effective skin saver. Apply it directly to blemishes & problem areas to gently clear them up or swipe it across your skin with a cotton pad as an all-over treatment (I do this to my T-zone periodically). You can also add a few drops to a plugged sink filled with hot water and steam your face over it (cover your head + the sink with a towel to make it most effective).
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil is on sale for $6 (regularly $10)
Tea Tree Mask
My second-favourite mask from the Body Shop, this cooling, Elphaba-green mask draws out impurities and helps to soothe your skin. I like to use it after the Seaweed Ionic Mask and follow it up with a mega-moisturizing mask. I sometimes use it as a spot treatment for especially stubborn blemishes, leaving it on for a couple of hours (or overnight).
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask is on sale for $9 (regularly $15)
Coconut Body Butter
The Body Shop’s coconut body butter is one of my favourite indulgences. I really suck at remembering to moisturize, but a few times a year I’ll decide I’m going to treat myself to a rubdown before bed with this coconut butter and I’m always thrilled with the results. It’s thick but melts into your skin, leaving behind a scent I can only describe as “vacation”.
The Body Shop Jumbo Coconut Body Butter is on sale for $18 (regularly $30)
Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil
OK, this might be cheating a bit but I haven’t actually purchased this yet. I’m not going to recommend it, I’m going to suggest you give it a try because I’ve heard great things. I’ve been meaning to pick up this mega-moisturizer for awhile but have been dawdling, basically because I have skincare coming out of my ears right now.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil is on sale for $16.80 (regularly $28)[line]
The Body Shop’s 40% off sale runs from May 1 – 4 at participating locations and www.thebodyshop.ca
