The Catch-Up

Happy Monday!

We had a pretty awesome weekend: Friday was Mike’s birthday so we headed to the Jay’s game with Eric + Amanda and then to Hemmingway’s in Yorkville for a few post-game drinks with friends. September 23rd also happens to be our friends Carlo + Ashley’s wedding date (next year!) so we celebrated that as well.

Oh, and did I mention I received the most perfectly timed cake delivery ever? La Rocca is celebrating their 30th anniversary on the 30th and sent along their Greatest Hits Anniversary Cake. Which we may or may not have consumed at 2 AM. Delish!

As promised, I headed to the North Toronto Flower Market on Saturday morning for some much-needed girltime with Steph and Lauren. We ended up at HomeSense. No one is surprised by this. I found the cutest little hamper for our ensuite + the perfect rug for our kitchen (finally). We also celebrated my Nonno’s birthday on Saturday night!

Sunday was home to a little dip in mood thanks to our usual fruitless house hunt in Bloor West. We walked into an open house for a modest little home only to find out it was listed at over $1.3 million. Driving all the way to the other end of Toronto at the Scarborough Bluffs cured our misery, though. I think we’ve found our new favourite spot for a stroll!
