The Gift Guide: Just For You

N’Sync had the best of intentions, but you can’t always get away with giving love to the girl who has everything. (Too punny? Did I go too far? We can discuss later…) You know the girl: she’s always has the cutest knick-knacks, the best statement necklaces and likely little self restraint. If you have that girl on your list – or hey, maybe you are that girl – you know how tough it can be to find the perfect gift.

This instalment of The Gift Guide has you covered from stocking stuffers to big-ticket items and, yes, it is a peek at my own Christmas wishlist…except I’ve already got 90% of the items. Whoops.

Best gifts for girlfriend hard to shop for holidayLoren Hope Chloe Bow Tie, $298 (Loren Hope)
For the girl who treats every day like a party, why not gift her with daily “black tie” attire? This sparkly bowtie necklace can be worn up close to the collar or allowed to dangle, letting her sparkle every day of the year.

Crystal Tree Ornament, $60 (Tiffany & Co.)
If she leans towards the traditional or just has a thing for little blue boxes, a collectible & covetable crystal ornament is just the thing to make her smile. Bonus: it’s an item you can continue purchasing year after year, turning a one-off into a collection of shiny ornaments.

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box ‘O Powders, $43 (Murale)
This girl wants options and she wants them all. This jam-packed palette from Benefit houses all of the brand’s iconic boxed powders in an adorable tin. When she tires of the holiday housing for her blushes, she can de-pan them into a palette of her choice. Each powder is universally flattering and the packaging is guaranteed to make her gasp.

Kate Spade Eat Cake For Breakfast Mug, $20 (Indigo & Dana Jordan)
Help her start the new year off with a smile with this whimsical mug from Kate Spade. What woman doesn’t wish she could eat cake for breakfast every day? Whether she pops it on her desk and fills it with pens or uses it for the Daily Elixir of Life (coffee, natch), this adorable mug is guaranteed to make her day.

Rebecca Bree Sleep Shirt Gift Set, $225 (The Sleep Shirt)
Go beyond Christmas pajamas with this sweetly spotted blush sleep shirt from Rebecca Bree & The Sleep Shirt. Perfect for sleeping, lounging or romping around the house, this sleep shirt is a cozy (and pants-free) way to stay cute while being comfy. The luxe eye mask is the best bonus.

Royal Apothic Tinties, $14 (Murale)
If the packaging alone doesn’t grab you, I’m not quite sure we should be friends. Girly rose gold caps open to reveal the smoothest, sweetest-scented balms tinted with just the right amount of colour to flatter any gal.

Marchesa Rose Frame, $100 (Holt Renfrew)
This is the sort of thing you buy simply because it’s stunning. Rose-textured silver-plated Marchesa screams luxury and will be a beautiful accent to any decor. She may find herself staring at the frame more than the photo in it…but that’s ok.

Puffin In Bloom Books, $16 each (Amazon)
Dress up her bookshelves and trigger serious nostalgia with these Rifle Paper Co. designed re-prints of classic girls’ novels by Puffin. Perfect for girls young or “old”, these are equally lovely for both reading and displaying purposes.

Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Candle, ~$80 (Holt Renfrew)
Real talk: it can be tough to justify an $80 candle for yourself. That’s what the holidays are for. This Jo Malone candle smells heavenly, luxurious and romantic all at once.

DEAR GOD $225 for a sleep shirt? It’s sooo pretty but that’s way too much.

  • RemaGouyez I know, I know. I added it to my cart and then removed it and then added it again so many times. I’m hopeful for a boxing day sale…

  • laurapatania I bought the fragrance after my mom got me the candle last Christmas! I’m obsessed.
