The Lust List: blush & gold

Happy Friday!

The blush & gold obsession continues over here so I couldn’t help but pull together a few of my favourites to share with you this week. It’s always so interesting to me how these little elements of personal style develop. I can’t remember ever having an affinity for gold or leopard or even polka dots, but I think we can all agree that they’re now a huge part of my personal style and daily wardrobe. Especially in the past few years, I’ve found myself gravitating towards everything gilded – strange, since for years I vehemently opposed anything that even resembled gold.

Blush & Gold Must-Haves

Kate Spade x Swarovski Bow Necklace, ~$800 | Yesterday, Kate Spade unveiled their gorgeously glittery collaboration with Swarovski. This statement necklace caught my eye immediately since it features my three can’t-resists: rose gold, sparkle and bows. It’s not exactly a steal, but I’m sure I could wear it with just about everything…right?

Rifle Paper Co. MEOW iPhone 5 Case, $35 | When my new iPhone (gold, natch) came home last Friday night, I knew I had to have a case ready for it. I’m not a cat-lover, but this sassy Meow! iPhone 5 case featuring a pretty kitty and gold foil caught my eye. It’s girly and a great conversation starter. It also means I now meow at my friend Ariana who came with me to buy it. Every time we see one another. Which is daily. Meow!

Vintage Gold Coupe Glasses, $34.50 for 4 | Indigo is really killing it this season with their home wares. These vintage gold coupes are on my must-buy list. I’m using my impending wedding (only 568 days to go!) as an excuse to pick up everything and anything I could want for our future home. These retro-inspired coupes are fantastic for entertaining or even for a casual afternoon bevvie with the girls on a weekend. Waiter!

Gold Dot Scarf, $39.50 | I don’t feel I need to say much more about this scarf other than it’s blush and has gold foil dots. It does happen to be on sale right now, so I guess there’s that. In case you needed more enabling…

Kate Spade Bow Knit Long Glove , $88 | I’m currently adjusting to the bracelet-length sleeves on my stunning (and-I-almost-refused-to-purchase-it-but-mom-made-me) Smythe Mohair Swing Coat . These adorable and warm Kate Spade bow gloves, along with the fact that the coat is currently in Holt Renfrew’s Bloor holiday windows, are making the transition a whole lot easier (and extending the seasonality on the coat!). Scrunch them down if your coat has regular-length sleeves.

Kate Spade Bow Push Pins, $24 | Yes, more bows. These were an impulse purchase a few weeks ago and I’m so happy I did it. These push pins are like tiny nuggets of joy – they really do brighten my each and every day that I’m at work. They elevate your cube thanks to their shiny happiness and are also just plain fun.
