What do you get when you combine tutus, stilettos, sexy blo-outs & body paint? Why, you get blo-wn away by a fashionable soiree!
To celebrate the launch of the 15th Blo Blow Dry Bar at Bayview Village, Blo & Bayview collaborated on the perfect pink party in support of Look Good…Feel Better. With a dress code that decreed copious amounts of pink, tutus and sky-high stilettos, how could they go wrong?
Cafe Mirage at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton Ave. in Toronto was the perfect venue, balancing out all the pink-ified accents with chic white banquettes and draping and sleek wooden floors.
A pink wig-wearing Blo girl greeted guests and welcomed us into the pink world of Blo. After strutting our stuff on the hot pink carpet & taking a photo with the body paint & tutu-clad “paparazzi” hostess, we headed straight to the xo candy bar.
The gorgeous set up from LOL Candy included strawberry Twizzlers and gummy bears, delectable marshmallow twists, pink & silver M&Ms and beautifully wrapped Cadbury Thins. Oh, did I mention there were cake pops? My date for the evening, Kelsey Perry-Carlsen, a highschool friend/Queen’s University classmate/baking enabler/equestrian, and I cooed over the adorable & tasty bite-size treats.
Our next stop was the bar for the XO BLO party’s signature drink: a blo-tini.
Although we didn’t indulge, the party featured a Brian Bailey makeup station and Blo-On-The-Go, keeping party-going beauties looking fresh all night long.
In keeping with the company’s sassy feel, cute buttons were scattered around the venue just begging to be worn. Isn’t mine the best?
Stilettos were in abundance, each sassier than the next. You could tell the Bayview Village girls were in attendance! (Can you spot the wicked Valentino pumps?)
What I wore: Champagne & Cupcakes dress, vintage belt, Anthropologie earrings, Banana Republic shoes
The best part of my night was meeting some lovely ladies that I’ve been talking to on Twitter for the longest time now. I was finally introduced to Melissa, the fashionista behind the @BVShops account (and frequent enabler of my Choo purchases) and got to meet fellow #humberPR grads Melissa Jovanoski & Cheryl Willberg, both from SO PR.
Thanks again for the invite, Melissa!
