My originally super-depressing wedding countdown clock is sitting at 31 days today. THIRTY-ONE!! Is this real life? This day seemed like it would never come back in October 2013 (yes, really. 2013. Do not recommend.) but now that it *has* come it’s more than a little surreal. I think all of the waiting has de-sensitized me to the fact that the wedding is ONE MONTH AWAY and that it’ll probably hit me like a ton of bricks the week before.
The Countdown Is On!
The past few weeks have been filled with a lot of fun – and final! – things like our last meeting with our fabulous wedding planner, Melissa Samborski, dress & tux fittings, menu tastings and more! We also both had our pre-wedding celebrations: I celebrated my bridal shower and Mike had his stag the next weekend. Next weekend, I’m jet-setting off to South Beach with my best girlfriends for my bachelorette weekend – let the outfit planning begin!
We’ve also been knocking a lot of small things off our To-Do lists, like picking up a guestbook (I chose this one from Sugar Paper x J. Crew), ordering favours (I hope they come in time!) and prepping some small DIY projects. We also submitted our marriage application to the City of Toronto and will have to go pick it up in the next few weeks.
Home Sweet Home
We’ve also been hard at work setting up our condo! Our couch and bed arrived over the last few weeks and we’re just about done with our furniture/decor purchases. All that’s left is finding the perfect dining room table & chairs for our den, some end tables for the living room and a home office set-up for me!EQ3], cowhide [IKEA], pillows [ELTE mkt], throw [Anthropologie], coffee table [DIY from a vintage trunk]
I can’t wait to share more peeks at our place once we’re all moved in! Looking at these pics, it seems like we’re definitely in need of some artwork as well! Do you have any favourite spots to pick up pieces in Toronto?[line]
