Warning: this might be my favourite enabler report yet. All of the items in this week’s report have been top of mind since I first laid eyes on them – they’re that awesome. Get ready for the fluffy tulle skirt of your dreams, the ultimate bookworm & stationery-lover’s collaboration, perfect fall transitional pieces and a skin miracle.

Alexandra Grecco Gretta Ivory Tulle Skirt - Dash of Darling

I’ve been eyeing Alexandra Grecco’s tulle skirts since Anthropologie carried her Gretta skirt a few years ago during the holiday season. While I balked at the $300 price then, I’ve been lusting for the perfect tulle skirt ever since. Well, I took the plunge thanks to a code for Style Me Pretty readers that is good for 20% off plus a sale currently happening on Alexandra Grecco’s site. It helps that our engagement shoot is coming up and I have visions of ivory tulle and a denim jacket…or styling it exactly as Caitlin from A Little Dash of Darling did (above). Use the code TWENTY!¬†to take advantage of the Style Me Pretty discount. If you move quickly, you might even get a better deal – lots of the skirts are currently on sale!

Puffin In Bloom Anna Bond Rifle Paper Co classic novels

Rifle Paper Co. has collaborated with Puffin to release 4 classic books for girls with gorgeously illustrated covers. I can’t help but covet these pretty tomes – they’ll make the perfect addition to my bookshelves…and hopefully my daughter’s some day. Whether you’re a bookworm or someone who can’t pass up any item created by Anna Bond, these are an easy indulgence. $11 each (usually $16), Amazon.

Cyber Cheetah Kate spade

There are multiple items in this print and I have that “need it” feeling for all of them. Yes, there are a few that make my heart beat a little quicker – like the sweaterdress ($398), dawson dress ($398) and box-pleat skirt¬† ($298) – but this is one of the loveliest leopard-ish prints I’ve seen in awhile. Remember – leopard (or cheetah, as they appear to be calling it… hmph) is a neutral!

JCrew Prima Jersey Tank best basic tank

I went into J. Crew this week to buy one thing: the “Vote For Love” vintage tee that I’m thinking of pairing with the tulle skirt above for our engagement pics (maybe). I walked out with 5 items, three of which were these tanks. Super soft, drapey and with simple details at the neckline and sleeves, this tank is the ultimate transitional basic. It looks luxe enough to be worn under a blazer but also makes the perfect weekend basic. I won’t judge you if you pick up just as many (or maybe even more). Currently on sale: J. Crew, in stores & online, $35.99 (- 30%).

Dior One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum Review

I’ve never used a product that has transformed my skin like Dior’s Capture Total One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum in so little time. I received this magic serum at a press preview less than two weeks ago and my skin has done a complete 180. The serum is designed to “detoxify, regenerate, and restore luminescence” and yes, it does all of these things and more. Designed to be used right after cleansing and before any other product, the serum sinks into your skin immediately. I find it also makes my favourite moisturizing Vichy serum go on even better, allowing me to wake up with skin that’s ready to take on the day. My skin is the happiest it has ever been (see: above). I’m going to be raving about this product even more in an upcoming skincare post, but I love it so much that I had to share it immediately. $105 – $130 (1 or 1.7 oz, Dior counters + Sephora.

What to eat at CNE 2014

I went years without visiting the CNE but when Mike and I started dating 4 years ago he convinced me that we absolutely had to go. His family goes every year and now it’s become a tradition for us, too – it’s so fun! Labour Day weekend is your last chance to visit the fair and I suggest you do so, if only for the food. Make sure to eat an Ice Cream Waffle, the S’mores Bao from Far East Taco and Pierogies! The Elvis Grilled Cheese is pretty delicious as well.
