I don’t know about you, but I’m in for a long weekend re-do. Mother nature was angry that we celebrated the May 2-4 weekend a full weekend early and obviously planned all of the gross weather to mess with us. I had a fantastic long weekend spending time with the hubby-to-be, canvassing for the Liberal candidate in Vaughan and eating lots of pizza with my family. I also baked more carbs than any one girl should consume, especially with my second wedding dress appointment looming! Hopefully running after that little munchkin on the top right at the park gave me a bit of caloric leeway….
This week’s 5 faves are a bit on the splurge-y side but are worth saving up for.
Fujifilm INSTAX SHARE Printer
I love gadgets, especially ones that are equal parts awesome and useful. This little Fujifilm INSTAX SHARE Smartphone printer is both of those things. Compact, cute and more than functional, this little wireless printer connects to your phone via its own wi-fi and allows you to print your smartphone pics in seconds. The printer spits out a little polaroid-esque photo that’s perfect for sticking into your mirror, pinning up at your desk or even using in a guestbook at a special event (yes, it will print duplicates). One girl who spotted this on my Instagram feed is already planning to pick it up for her upcoming wedding to use as a photo booth! I’ll be giving this a full review once my trial period with it is up, but you’ll probably want to pre-order at Amazon well before then for $199.99
Tiffany ATLAS Jewelry (Exclusive Pre-sale!)
I had the opportunity not too long ago to experience the new ATLAS Numeral collection at Tiffany’s Bloor St. flagship location in a private lunchtime appointment complete with Veuve Cliquot mimosas and tiny Tiffany box cookies. While owning a piece of Tiffany is an essential rite-of-passage for any luxury-loving lady, a private appointment where you get to try on and pre-order a new collection goes above and beyond. The best part? Only visitors to the Bloor flagship store will be able to pre-order this collection in Canada! Book your own private appointment to shop the collection by calling 416-921-3900 or emailing email@example.com. Trust me – you’ll want to get your hands on one of these pieces.
DK Designs Clay Flowers
I love flowers but sadly have a habit of killing them rather quickly. About a month ago, I ordered these gorgeous handcrafted clay peonies from DK Designs via BRIKA and am absolutely in love with them. They retail for about $50 each and will brighten up your space minus the need to consntantly refresh your fresh florals. Pick them up from BRIKA here.
Pink Tartan Trompe L’oeil Shirt
As a large-busted woman, the only places I have any luck with purchasing button-down shirts are Pink Tartan and Joe Fresh. I swear, the Mimrans must design just for me 😉 I recently added to my white shirt collection with the Trompe L’oeil shirt with the neon pink “sugar plum” trim. I love that it’s classic while still being fashion-forward thanks to the hint of neon. Buy the shirt in White & Sugar Plum (neon pink, above), Black & White or Pale Pink & White at Pink Tartan, online or at Holt Renfrew for $275. Yes, I’m saving to collect all three.
Valentino Rockstud Patent Low-Heel Slingback
It’s almost time for my yearly splurge and I’ve had my eye on these Valentino Rockstud Slingbacks for a long time now. I have yet to try them on but if they feel as good as they look this mix of feminine and modern will be making its way to my closet sometime soon.
