Weekly Enabler Report

When you’re being naughty, it sure is helpful to drag others along with you. See: too many drinks, $50 lipstick…and excessive shopping. I’ve been a bit naughty the last little while so this week I’m sharing a few of my favourite items that just might make their way onto your lust list, too.

Alice & Olivia Addison Bow Collar Crop Jacket

Alice & Olivia Addison Bow Jacket Stephanie Fusco

It was love at first sight. I’m pretty sure I first spotted this perfect bow collar jacket on Toronto wedding planner Melissa Andre during our consult, but when I saw it on the floor at Hudson’s Bay in a blush pink I practically ran over to the rack. Hello – it has a massive bow. The perfect topper for anything from a skirt to dress pants to jeans to a dress (yes, everything), this cropped beauty was worth every penny. Get a better look at it online and pick it up in person at the Queen St. Hudson’s Bay flagship store for about $460.

424 Fifth Collection at Hudson’s Bay

424 fifth pieces

I got to preview this wonderfully affordable collection last week at Arcadian Court and fell even more in love with the piece in person than I already had online. Standout pieces include the Double Weave Satin Topper Coat ($199, pictured above), Patent Leather Baseball Jacket ($299, pictured above) and the wonderfully light & comfortable Satin Birdcage Skirt ($129). I’m hoping to get my hands on these pieces soon – fingers crossed for an amazing sale at The Bay!

Sarah Stevenson for Target

Sara Stevenson Blazer - Target - Stephanie Fusco

Yes, I got up early to shop the Sarah Stevenson collection for Target. If you can still get your hands on it, this gorgeous printed blazer ($49) is extremely flattering and will look great with skirts, pants or even a dress. The printed t-shirts ($29) are perfect for summer and are easily dressed up or down. Run to Target and pick up this Canadian designer’s collection now.

Dior Vernis Haute Couleur Gel-Effect Shine and Wear in INCOGNITO

Dior Incognito Vernis Swatch - Stephanie Fusco

In case the flurry of obsessive comments on my Instagram pic of this shade didn’t convince you, Dior Vernis in Incognito ($26) is worth every penny. It’s also the perfect little piece of luxury – even if you can’t buy the $2000 Dior bag, you can definitely spare $26 for the perfect polish. It’s a super-shiny pinky nude that will be perfect year-round but especially gorgeous for spring (and spring brides!). The new Gel Effect formula will be in stores in April, but this shade has been around for awhile.

Hair Savers: Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry & Matrix Biolage Hydrasource

Bumble & Bumble Straight Blow DryMatrix Biolage Hydrasource

My hair has been extra-manageable lately and I’ve chalked it up to two changes in my routine: Bumble and bumble Straight Blow Dry ($37 for 5 oz) and Matrix Biolage Hydrasource Shampoo & Conditioner. I’m a firm believer that great hair starts in the shower and mine has been extra lovely since introducing this mega-hydrating (and newly repackaged) line into my routine. I heat style almost every day, so amping up hydration is a huge concern of mine. It also smells fantastic, if you’re into that sort of thing. Find it at Shoppers Drug Mart and salons.

The Bumble & bumble straight blow dry balm has been the ultimate lifesaver in dealing with my unruly mane. I received it as a Beauty Insider sample at Sephora about a month ago and haven’t been wiling to blow-dry without it since. It makes my hair incredibly smooth and soft (and even defined and de-frizzed my curls when I applied it before twisting into a high bun and air drying). I never advocate spending $40 for something a drugstore brand can do just as well, so trust me when I say this is fantastic and I will be repurchasing.

Apologies in advance, guys.
