2012 was the year of the beauty blogger for me. Of all the bloggers and social media personalities I’ve met, worked with and befriended, I find the Canadian beauty blogging community to be one of the best. They’re supportive, friendly and, best of all, honest. With that said, I reached out to a few of my favourite Canadian beauty bloggers to get their picks for the best beauty products of 2012. If you don’t already have these in your beauty arsenal, there’s no better time than the present. Start 2013 off with a bang with the best of 2012 in your makeup bag and on your RSS feed.

2012 has been the year of skin for me. Finding the perfect skincare routine (thank you, Clarisonic, Benefit, Fresh & KORRES!) was top priority, along with getting my glow on every day. I’ve become supremely attached to Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl liquid luminizer – it gives a subtle, candlelit glow and can be worn under blush for the ultimate glowy look. It blends seamlessly and imparts a pearlescent – but not glittery – golden pink glow. I wear it every single day – nothing perks up my skin quite like Girl Meets Pearl.

Giorgio Armani Rouge D’armani Sheer Lipstick in 401
My favourite product of 2012 is my Giorgio Armani lipstick in 401 (red) this shade has gotten me through the spring, summer and winter and has become my signature red. The orange tones are just perfect enough to wear through any season because I feel as though it flatters my tanned or pale skin. The best part of all is how long lasting it is! The creamy texture glides and hydrates my lips like no other full coverage lip product I’ve ever tried. Every time I wear it I’m complimented on the shade and it really makes me look more alive.

Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil
I love this product and use it daily! It’s great for makeup removal or as the first step to face washing. Great to add to your moisturizer for an extra boost of hydration and great as a spot treatment, too, to calm inflamed skin. It feels amazing when massaged into my skin.
